I have a 92 3.0 v6 ford ranger and i just want to know how much of a difference would a cold air intake make?
the truck just feels a little sluggish and i want to know will a k&n cold air intake make a difference in the horsepower and torque and how much would i be able to notice that difference.
PS i don't want to put a whole lot of money into this truck and i think a k&n cold air intake will only cost like $50
please give me a good answer on this, i willl chose a person for best answer.

The only thing good about K&N filters is that they are washable. Wait for a clean dry day and remove your air filter completely and go for a short drive. (Stay off dirt roads and dusty areas) I did this for a test and there was no difference then with the stock filter being installed. Cars filters are designed for max air flow unless you buy a noname brand or its really dirty. I would not spend any money on a K&N filter expecting a performance gain. Just buy it if you like the fact that it is washable.
