Why does Yahoo not give a valid reason for denying an appeal?

Just about anyone can claim your answer violated the terms of service. Yahoo offers you an appeal, but always stands by the original claim without giving a reasonable response.

As an example: A person wrote a very obvious question from homework. My answer was that they should do their own homework. I wasn't rude or insulting, just stating a fact.

I was told I violated TOS and I appealed and the appeal failed with no reasoning. This just makes me not to want to participate in this forum at all!

It's an automated response. If two or more people complain about an answer, it's automatically deleted, and an email is automatically generated. When you appeal it, your email is ignored, and another email is automatically generated, telling you your appeal is denied. No one actually reads anything. Why pay for a staff member when it can be handled by a computer program?

Like your mom said...Their house, their rules. They don't need to give you one.
