how to make 'muffin cookies'?
so one of my friends went to some cafe and was telling me about these things called "muffin cookies". They were pretty much made like muffins; they had blueberries, bananas, nuts but im not sure about oil and stuff (if it had any or not). The batter was quite thick but instead of putting them into muffin tins she said the baker poured rounds of it onto a cookie sheet ...making them like cookies. so after all that LOL...i was just wondering if anyone had a recipe for these "muffin cookies". It doesnt have to be these exact ones but something along the lines. =)
Thanks in advance=)

Apple & Oat Muffin Top Cookies
http://www.cookiemadness.net/?p=3137
1/4 cup (50 grams) packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons (45 ml) honey
1/4 cup (60 ml) oil
1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla
1 teaspoon (5 ml) cinnamon
1 egg (medium or large)
1/2 teaspoon (2 ml) baking powder
1/2 teaspoon (2 ml) baking soda
1/4 teaspoon plus an extra pinch (1 ml) salt
1/2 cup (100 grams) grated apple
1 1/4 cups (160 gram) white whole wheat flour
1/2 cup (40 grams) oats
1/4 cup (20 grams) whey protein powder**
3 tablespoons finely chopped pecans
3 tablespoons raisins
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 C). Have ready a parchment lined cookie sheet.
Mix the brown sugar, honey, oil, vanilla, baking powder, baking soda and salt together in a medium size mixing bowl; Stir in the apple, then gently stir in the flour, followed by the oats. Stir in the protein powder and raisins if using – don’t overbeat.
Scoop tablespoons of dough onto cookie sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart. Sprinkle tops with pecans. Bake for 13 minutes or until edges are browned and cookies look “done”. Let cool on a rack.
Makes 16 cookies
**I haven’t tried omitting it, but I think you could omit the protein powder and add in 3 T. flour.

when you bite into one of these cookies its like a carrot cake muffin! They are so sweet and yummy and you will never miss the fatty version. These are also dairy and egg free!

1 cup quick-cooking oats
3/4 cup carrots, grated
1-2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/3 cup raisins
1/4 cup artificial sweetener (you can use honey if you like)
1/4-1/3 cup water (if you dough is still too dry, just keep adding water one tablespoon at a time until it is stiff)
Preheat oven to 275 degrees (not 375 degrees).
Mix all of the dry ingredients together in a bowl. Then add the carrots, raisins, applesauce and water. Drop by heaping teaspoons onto cookie sheet. Flatten them slightly as they will not spread much.
Bake for about 18 minutes - do not overbake.

There is a special pan something like a muffin pan but bigger and not as deep as a muffin pan. The done product is called muffin tops. Sorry, I don't have a recipe but maybe if you find the pan you could just use a muffin recipe and add topping.

I'm from the UK, and although I don't have American recipes I just want to say that your English is excellent! Much better than some of the English speakers on here!!
