    3x + 2 - x = 2x + 1

    3x-x+2 = 2x+1

    2x+2 = 2x+1

    -1 -1

    2x+1 = 2x

    -2x -2x

    1=0

    no solution

    5z - 3 = -3 + 4z

    +3 +3

    5z = 0+ 4z

    -4z -4z

    z=0

    5t + 4 = 3(2 - t) + 8t

    5t+4 = 6-3t + 8t

    5t+4 = 6+5t

    -4 -4

    5t = 2+5t

    -5t -5t

    0=2

    no solution

    1 and 3 dont have solutions but for 2 the answer would be z = 0.

    1) (3x - x) + 2 = 2x + 1

    2x + 2 = 2x+1

    2 = 1 # not possible

    ----------------------------------------------------

    2) 5z - 3 = -3 + 4z

    5z - 4z = -3 +3

    z = 0

    -------------------------------------------------------

    3) 5t + 4 = (6 - 3t) +8t

    5t +4 = 6 + 5t

    4 = 6 # (not possible)
