What are eye creams for?

I'm 14 and I don't wear any make-up, but youtube guru's are always like, "You NEED an eye cream to protect under your eyes!"

I have the Clinique All About Eyes stuff, but I don't wear make-up... should I wear the eye cream or not? Thanks.

Eye creams are for treating the puffy eyes, dark circles under the eyes and wrinkles around the eyes. Normally a 14 year old doesn't have any of these but it doesn't mean you cannot use it.

You can eye cream use treat and prevent under eye dark circles and wrinkles from coming. It is better to use a Natural eye cream like Revitol. That way you will not burn the skin or the surroundings of your eyes with chemicals. As you know this area is pretty sensitive. Revitol Eye Solves Three Beauty Problems at Once!

    1. Under eye dark circles

    2. Puffiness

    3. Wrinkles

Revitol's moisturizing emollients and natural ingredients help counter moisture loss and other characteristics of under-eye circles. Our soft, non-greasy formula absorbs quickly and leaves your skin feeling smooth and supple. Ingredients include:

Niacinamide - A water-soluble Vitamin B complex that helps retain skin moisture.

Bisabolol - An ingredient derived from Chamomile that soothes and calms irritated skin; reduces the appearance of puffiness.

Chrysin - A flavonoid that helps reduce the appearance of excess skin pigmentation caused by breakdown of hemoglobin.

N-Hydroxycicinimide - Reduces the appearance of a pigmentation factor and thus dark circles.

Revitol Eye Cream was created by one of America's premier anti aging skin care companies.

First, are you massaging your eyes area too hard? If it is, does it make your eyes watery? I had this experience that when I massage cream around my eyes area, it will be tired and watery, eg : tears coming out from my eyes. It's a normal reaction when your eyes are too tired I guess. And could this cause your eyes to be swollen the next day like you said as though you've cried last night? Next, try not to put too much cream on it. Lightly dap with ur ring finger and see if it happens again. If it does, possibility is, you're allergic to it. Should try to switch to eye gel instead.

Eye creams are to be gently dabbed around they area NOT squeezed into your eye like some looser said before they are used to help stop wrinkles and sometime dark circles if you start using now by the time you get to your 40s you should have less wrinkles.......it doesn'tt matter if you wear make up or not you should still use an eye cream and always use a moisturizer on your entire face with spf in it hope this helps

Wearing cream at your age shouldn't have to be much of a concern. It might be a bad habit specially if you dont apply any make up b/c then your skin will become sensible or dependendable to chemical substances on the other side if you expose your eyes and face to the sun alot then you might wanna consider wearing more than just a cream, maybe a mask or something, so its your choice, choose wisely.

You don't need eye cream unless you are treating wrinkles, bags, or dark circles, and especially not at 14. I am 21 and I don't wear any kind of eye cream. Just wash your face and moisturize morning and night :)
