What is a grommet? Where can I find them?

I bought a sewing patten and one of the things I need is grommet but I have no idea what that is.

a grommet is the metal ring that your shoelaces go through in your shoes. You can get them at any craft store. I'd recomment a grommet tool also (to help punch the holes and put the two sides of the grommet together).

A grommet is a metal circular attaching item. A tennis shoe has grommets to lace the strings through. They come in different sizes and can accommodate different materials .They can be hammered onto a belt or applied with a tool that squeezes the grommet on.

I'm not sure if you can buy them one at a time or not but you can get them at Joann's Fabrics & Crafts. I've used them when I've made my own shower curtains.

The grommet tool is not necessary but for the price, is worth buying.
