I need some help with physics hw?

A car travels up a hill at a constant speed of 37 km/h and returns down the hill at a constant speed of 62 km/h. Calculate the average speed (in km/h) for the round trip.

i've tried 25, 49, 49.5, 50, and 99... i do NOT get whats wrong-_-

    Speed in itself has no direction just magnitude. It's a scalar quantity.

    So you simply add both speeds and divide them by 2.

    (37 + 62)/2 = 49.5 km/h
