Do you think a cup of tea is a better drink than coffee?
if you talk about the medicinal value of tea, then coffee is not any where close to tea. Green tea can cure you of several body problems, but I don't think coffee really has a medicinal value. Coffee is just a sweet drink but not a healthy drink? http://gomestic.com/cooking/how-to-make-a-cup-of-t...

I like both, but I prefer coffee.
I never use tea bags (only loose leaf) and I roast my own coffee (and have 7 ways to brew it).
For those who think all coffee is bitter sludge; the odds are you've never had good coffee. Most coffee does have a bite fro its acidity. If you want smooth, try cold brewed coffee. It's the only kind my wife likes & I use it as "instant" and in desert coffee drinks.
As to health; coffee has been shown to reduce the chances of Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Type II diabetes, and certain cancers. It's delicious black. Personally, I would never add sugar to any coffee except Turkish (and there very little),
Oh, and green tea? It contains fluoride and has been shown to cause or aggravate thyroid problems in some people. In fact, it's recommended to avoid green tea if you ever had thyroid issues. Other than that, it is good for you.

I go to tea tastings on Friday afternoons at the tea house. The seller goes to China to see the plants being grown and talks with the growers. There are stories of the plants being given directly from the Iron Goddess (thus the name iron Goddess tea - teaQuanYin) to growers hundreds of years ago. The best methods of growing, harvesting and preparing the tea have been developed over hundreds of years. These methods are employed today to provide the best quality teas.
Coffee also has the story of being given by God or Gods to the Ethiopians hundreds of years ago, and there is also formalized ritual to preparing and serving coffee in many countries. (which involves ceremony in preparation and an emphasis on hospitality and stimulating conversation. It leaves out the paper cups)
For those who depend on coffee daily, they could not ever understand how tea could be an adequate substitute. Drinking tea is not just about a caffeine boost. Most people who have only had Tetly tea bags have not had the experience of loose Quan Yin or Dragon well, so would not know the subtlety of loose tea prepared properly. When you compare a good oolong or green tea side by side you can tell that the flavors of tea are much more than the bitter boost you get from dunking a tea bag into too hot water.
In spite of how popular coffee is in this country, whenever I have had it, regardless of instant powder or the best espresso, it has always been just an opaque, dark bitter drink that leaves my heart racing and my breath smelling bad. Regardless of health, history or flavor, I think tea is the better drink

Coffee is better than tea, but you can't drink coffee all the time. You'd never get any sleep. So we have tea.

They are both relatively the same, too much of tea or coffee will do the same harm, so they are not much difference except for the taste.
