inquis - Cardinal 3rd Baseman, Joe Torre (also played for other teams but won 1971 NL MVP with Cards) and Ken Boyer (7x all star with Cardinals AND 1964 NL MVP)

    As for the Mets:

    Tom Seaver

    Mike Piazza and Gary Carter

    Keith Hernandez

Edgardo Alfonso (or Felix Millan lol)

    Bud Harrelson

David Wright (and HoJo was a 30/30 guy)

    Cleon Jones (or Mookie)

    Carlos Beltran

    Darryl Strawberry

I'm leaving a lot of my favorite guys off, but what the heck

    Baltimore Orioles

    P - Jim Palmer

C - Gus Triandos (hopefully this answer becomes Matt Wieters soon)

1B - Eddie Murray (Sorry, Boog Powell)

    2B - Davey Johnson

    SS - Cal Ripken, Jr.

    3B - Brooks Robinson

    RF - Frank Robinson

CF - Paul Blair (soon to be Adam Jones)

LF - Hmmm. I guess Don Buford because no one else immediately comes to mind.

If you mean the greatest who WORE #9, then it would be Buford.

    Source(s): Life-long Orioles fan.

    1b Pujols

    2b Hornsby

    3b Shannon lol

    ss Ozzie

    of Musial

    of Brock

    of Edmonds

    c Simmons

    P Gibson

Thats who I'd go with. There have been some great players that aren't on the list due to service time(Mize) or position(Red) to name a couple. Only real question mark is third base. Can't recall just a stud 3 sacker the Birds have had.

number 9? Minnie Minoso. His number 9 is retired.

top 9 players? (in specific order, other than my mind working...)

    Frank Thomas

    Aparicio

    Appling

    Joe Jackson

    Mark Buehrle

    Fisk

    Baines

    Nellie Fox

    Ted Lyons

(if you are counting careers of players even if their significant time was not on the White Sox, i would certainly through Griffey and Thome in there too, taking out Baines and Lyons)
