How can i tell if my computer has been hacked?

Question

all of a sudden i been gettin these messages on websites saying, warning, your connection may be being tampered with. What does this mean and how can I stop it? Since it started i have not used any passwords and avoided any personal info. But something ain't right.

     Do you have a virus scan program? Do you have a spyware scanning program? Do you have a Malware scanning program. I know theses sound like the same thing but they are different. If you have a virus protection program does it have updated dat files? There are free programs that you can download from www.download.com. I like AVG for the virus program, Spybot Search and Destroy for the spyware program and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for the malware scanner.
