When does the weather in central florida become a bit cooler?

It usually starts to cool off in October. The rainy season has ended by then and the humidity is a lot lower than it is during September and it's also not as hot. Also, many places in central Florida get their first day of the year where the high temperature is only in the 60's and the lows in the 40's. Definitely by November most daytime highs are only in the 70's.

The Winter months of December, January and February generally provide the most pleasant temperatures in the Orlando area. Humidity can still be on the higher side and rainfall is at a minimum. This is the time of the year when the snowbirds of the north, ready for a break from cold dreary days, visit Florida.

These 'average' temperatures and have been known to vary a good bit in either direction. If you are traveling to the Orlando area, it's always a good idea to pack a light jacket.

If you are thinking about moving here....do yourself a favor. Visit in late June, July, August up until early September. Then decide. If people had done this decades ago, our population would be lower and this would be a pleasant place to live. We are full, so go back home.
