NSW only: Bought a new car 1 month ago no rego papers yet, is this normal?

I bought a brand new car from a dealer (my first brand new) and it has an interim label with 3 month expiry. It's been a little over a month since I bought the car, and we filled out the registration paperwork at the dealership, and as yet no rego papers have come through nor is the car on record at the RTA. Is it normal for the rego papers to take this long to come through on a new car?

That is very strange. The dealer should have registered the car on the day of delivery or very soon thereafter.

I have worked in dealerships and I always registered the vehicle on the day of delivery or made sure it was done within a few days after. It depends on how many regos need to be processed by the dealership and then how quickly the RTA processes them.

Contact the dealership and ask them where the hell your rego papers are. That is bad customer service to leave you in the lurch like this.
