Ask strangers questions. The greatist pick up line I ever used was "What is important to you?" Many people will tell you. Some are little nutty and will tell you things like Mike Jackson, the Boston Red Sox or Obamas health plan. Those kind I avoid.

I know how you feel. When going on the street and you see someone walking by and no one else is really around I suggest you say hi and smile (in case they ignore you you wont feel as stupid).
