Many dorms have rules about how large an aquarium can be kept. Ask your dorm supervisor.

Also, be sure you have a good plan for how you will care for your fish over vacations and the like.

Ask your dorm room adviser or whoever runs your dorm. Usually the limit for university dorms is 5g seeing as the rooms aren't that large to begin with.

It depends on the university, My campus allows for up to 10 gallons of water.

Personally i had a BC14 in my dorm.

lol. To that final guy or woman. a 10 gallon tank is one hundred twenty kilos whilst it incredibly is crammed with water and gravel. you're actually not moving that collectively because it incredibly is complete. A 30 gallon is jut as demanding to pass as a 10 gallon. you may no longer depart a fish by utilising itself with out nutrients and no care over spring smash. The weekend, optimistic, throw a feeder in, despite the fact that if it desires to be waiting to pass with you on those longer breaks. in case you may no longer cope with having some thing to look after, please don't get it. The minimum tank length for a fish is 5 gallons. something much less is in basic terms too demanding to look after, and that i'm even having a complicated time with my 5 gallon. i might get a 5 gallon through constrained area. You do be able to pass the tank in case you pick the spot to verify, and it incredibly is purely like, a a million.5 foot sq. you will choose. it could extra healthful on a nightstand, or a textile cloth wardrobe... if if somewhat got here right down to it, you ought to by utilising a type of television fold tables, and positioned it on there. i might get the 5 gallon, a filter out, a heater, approximately 10 kilos of gravel, and seven or 8 flowers you may bunch right into a corner that your fish can use for hiding. you will choose water conditioner, too. Walmart sells a 5 gallon tank kit with each and every thing you pick different than the gravel, flowers, and filter out. i might enable it cycle, and purchase a betta. they are hardship-free, and that they are extremely hardy.

As long as your room mate doesn't care! lol My school wouldn't allow anything but fish in our dorms, but my boyfriend snuck a hamster in and it was great! As long as "hiding" it in your dorm doesn't keep you from cleaning it and taking proper care of it I don't see why you couldn't just do it anyways..just make sure you have a cool room mate who won't tattle tale!!

    =)

it all depends on your dorm rules, ours we can have a 55g but my cousin can only have a 20g so it all depends.
