How do you recycle....?

How do you recycle canisters that some foods come in such as peanuts and breadcrumbs? The lids are recyclable plastic but the containers are usually cardboard and a light metal (tin?). I don't know where to or how to recycle these things...any help would be appreciated?

    1) By placing all recyclables in a recycle bin and its picked up once a week.

    2) By packing groceries in reusable bags.

    3) By packing frozen foods in a cooler with a shoulder strap which you can carry in and out of the store.

    4) By raking leaves and refuge and turning it into compost.

It becomes a habit the more you do it and just becomes part of your everyday life.

You can cut the metal off and recycle the cardboard part. And as another poster suggested, ask your city hall's environment department about single stream recycling. Just went to single stream in my city and it is so much easier!

Some of those containers make good desk organizers if you wash the oil residue out. You could also paint them or otherwise decorate and use them for packaging gifts.

Haha, that must be slightly ironic to try this. i'm certainly optimistic you may recycle plastic, despite the fact that if it relies upon on the place you pass to recycle it. Recycling does not continuously mean melting a metallic right down to form a various merchandise, it ought to purely be interpreted as re-utilising some thing. So in case you tackle this meaning, you ought to apply a recycling bin distinctive situations.
