Tell them you are mature enough to know the difference between fiction and reality, and that you would never do the kind of stuff in real life. And by putting trust in you that they are helping you grow as a person and learn responsibility for your actions.

That or offer to wash the dishes for a week or something :)

You don't. A 12-year-old has no business playing M rated games. Although my 12-year-old son I'm sure sees it differently as just earlier this evening I told him he was not getting Grand Theft Auto for his Play Station.

Yeah, yeah....I know you didn't want to hear it. If you are afraid of the possible answer to ask the question.

All of these other people obviously dont know nothing about 12 year old considering i am one i can help :D. Well i already play M rated games lol like left 4 dead or gear of war idk if its m or not but id still play em. Whatever game you wanted tell your friend to buy it for you for like a birthday present or something. Then instead of giving it to yo that day you go hang out with him and play the game sneak it home in a backpack or something. play the game at home parents catch you then who cares XD

Find an M rated game that gives a little educational background. Like, how Devil May Cry correlates to The Divine Comedy.

By being mature. Since you're asking a question like this you obviously aren't. When a game is recommended for 17 and up, that means something close to 17. 12 isn't even close. Don't bother.

Try to convince them you are mature enough and that everyone plays them. I started playing Grand Theft Auto when I was six and I have turned out fine, there is nothing wrong with those types of games. Just don't repeat anything that you hear/see on there.

only tell them the things that are good about the game...throw in some facts that the gore parts and w/e is unrealistic....give examples and prove that ur mature. get the facts and DONT LIE! tell the the truth...but only tell them the good parts...If you put game titles in it i could tell you what to say word for word but w/e...

an example would be like the blood thing that the other guy said.

or ... say for a game thats more real like CoD.

tell them the only bad thing is shooting . and tell them that when they die they just fall down and disappear...not enough blood to even notice.

If this doesnt help E-mail me and ill help u out some more

i recommend you to no longer tell your mom you have been gazing porn on the cyber web whilst your basically 12. she will maximum possibly take the cyber web removed from you. do no longer argue by utilising telling her your the only baby in college that's no longer allowed to play it. She in all probability wont care adequate. in case you decide on your mom to enable you play it then why do no longer you ask her to spend 10 minutes enjoying the activity herself so she will come to a determination if its rather all that undesirable. If she says she will then ask a pal in case you may borrow it for a nighttime so which you wont ought to purchase it in basic terms in case she comes to a decision you may no longer play it.
