    nobody thier unstoppable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm going to assume the playoffs shape up as Detroit vs. Yankees and Angels vs. Boston.

I have a slight feeling that the Yankees have Detroit's number as long as the right pitchers are used. IE: Sabathia HAS to face Verlander.

Angels (if they FINALLY beat Boston) would be a tough cookie, but I can't really predict right now because I want to wait until the last four games between them are played to say anything, since the Yankees are only 2-4 against the Angels this year. Took two of three at the stadium in like, May, then get swept right before the All Star Break, so..

However, if the Yankees face the Phillies in the World Series, I have a feeling that they might have a better shot. Assuming Cliff Lee is the #1 guy, the Yankees have already faced him twice with the Indians, and teed off on him a couple times, they're familiar with him, and possible extra fatigue can be a factor from batting if they play in Citizens Bank.

If they face the Cardinals in the World Series, I'd say they're gonna have a tough time at #27. Carpenter - Wainwright (or whatever order it is) is probably the nastiest combo ever. However, past the top four in the Cardinals order, I'd say it'd be a bit easier for the Yankees pitching to navigate around. In terms of pitching, it's Cardinals > Yankees. Offense would have the Yankees over the Cardinals, so I could see the Yankees having trouble with the Cardinals, an easier time with the Phillies, and I cannot predict a Giants - Yankees, Dodgers - Yankees, or Rockies - Yankees World Series since I don't know how to compare them as well as to any other team.

The Tigers pitching can win a five game series, their offense, well, not so much. I just hope for another 06 upset in the first round.

The Angels don't have the pitching and their offense vs Yankees offense doesn't really stand a chance.

If the Sox can get their ground together they are always a challenge, but I just don't think it's the year.

Possibly the Rangers, but we haven't seen them in October for a while so who knows?

Angels. Angels. Angels. Angels. They always trip up the Yankees.

Any team. It doesn't matter how good you are every team starts off at 0-0 at the beginning of the playoffs and every team is as good as the other.
