I'm on antibiotics for an abscessed tooth, will be on them a week Thursday. Will I be good to fly that day?

I've had this trip planned for a LONG time. Should have known something would come up. My choices were to get two teeth pulled with an infection present (meaning the area could not be easily numbed.. ouch), or go on antibiotics and come back later. The antibiotics seem to be working, I am no longer in any pain. Still worried about the changes in pressure while flying. Could this cause the abscess to rupture? I'm tempted to have the teeth pulled Monday before flying out Thursday, but then I'd have to worry about healing while on the trip. Last thing I need is a dry socket. I don't know what to do >.<

There is no need to worry about flying. If the medication will not be over get them with you and move on with your journey.

Once a tooth gets infected it is too late for just a filling, it will need a root canal and a crown or you will need to have it extracted. The antibiotics should start working within 24 to 48 hours, if not something is wrong, get to a dentist ASAP!! Once the infection is cleared up the tooth will have to be root canaled or extracted or the infection will come back.
