I really enjoyed it. I'm glad the Mary-Ann story wrapped up quickly because I hated that character and I'm not sure I could have taken much more of her. It's absolutely obvious who kidnapped Bill, but if you haven't figured it out I'm not gonna ruin it. I'm excited to see what they do with all the new characters, human and otherwise, that will be added in the new season. Spoilers below, if you're interested.

  • I did like it. The Maryann storyline SEEMED to wrap up quickly, but Tara provided to us some lovely foreshadowing with her line that I can't quite recall, but I think it was something along the lines of "I've got a bad feeling it's not over yet".

I didn't see the things with Eggs coming exactly, but with his erratic behavior, I knew he was heading for injury or death eventually. The person who shot him, though, THAT was shocking.

I also knew that Bill wasn't gonna drag Sam into a deathtrap without having a plan. It was mostly because if Bill allowed Sam to be sacrificed, it'd hurt Sookie to the point that she'd hate Bill for it, not because Bill cares at all about Sam, but still... that's why I knew there was a plan. When Maryann ran after Sookie and left Sam alone with Bill, I realized the whole plan. Yeah, it took me that long.

The proposal was surprising, but not enormously so. I wasn't sure he'd "go there", but when he did, it was a small "well gosh!" moment for me. Since I'm "team Bill" I was happy to see that she finally settled on a "yes", but darn the luck, Bill had been kidnapped!

And of course we know who did it. The mystery for next season, then, is what Eric DOES with Bill. One can only imagine... for now.

I didn't like it. Even though I LOVED the rest of the season. But I think the Maryann storyline wrapped up too quickly and easy. I also didn't like the lack of excitement with the stories they're setting up for next season. It's not like it's any mystery as to who kidnapped Bill...

I wanted them to introduce the werewolves they speak of right before the ending credits. That would've been exciting.

I don't think it's Eric! I think that's way too predictable and I don't think he would've used silver because that's stooping too low. I think he would have tried to take him fair and square. Maybe it was Sookie's cousin trying to save him from Eric or something...

    Or maybe I'm wrong!

But, if you've read the books or read a spoiler..DON'T TELL ME!

    I want to be surprised!

Hilarious interview with Alan Ball. I, too, don't think it's Eric. He says himself that is doesn't stick to the books verbatim, and that's been pretty obvious. Silver would be stooping pretty low.

    I guess we'll see.......
