What do you think of Kanye West's rudeness at the MTV Music Awards?

I don't see why people are so surprised....he had been doing this for YEARS at the European VMA's and no one over here has even batted an eyelash.

I never really listened to Kanye but I always believed he was a good artist and when ever thing happened with his mother I really felt for him, but after last night I know longer respect him or choose to acknowledge him. I know every celebrity has an outburst along the way but this isnt his first. For him to pick on Taylor, a 19 year old, sweet and innocent girl only shows that he is not a man at all but a child. Taylor showed more maturity than him. Although Beyonce let Taylor continue her speech, which was extremely classy, Taylor will forever remember her first and possibly only VMA award as the night Kanye embarrased her in front of the entire nation. Taylor worked hard for that award and obviously her fans see how talented and deserving she is. Kanye sings a song called Jesus Walks, Jesus preaches not to pass judgement and thats exactly what Kayne has done, your mother would be ashamed. Taylor you are incredible, Beyonce you already knew that you were, Kanye you are a joke.

I agree with you completely about Kanye West being an arrogant, obnoxious, idiotic, classless sore loser. He's shown it over and over again.

He opened for a legendary band in New York a few years back. It was a poor match, music-wise and fan-wise, and when his performance wasn't met with adoration, first he scolded the audience, reminding them how many records he's sold and how he was the best ever at what he does. When some booed, he walked off. Later I read the promoter refused to pay him and they were suing one another.

I use to like him i thought he was controversial at times yes, but i felt he spoke his mind on some key issues.

What he did to Taylor Swift though however was just plain rude and down right nasty, shes new to it all and should have had her time to enjoy her award and be proud of it, not have someone pretty much say that she did not deserve it.

His self importance has gone to his head and i hope a bit of a back lash on his record sales might make him think next time he decides to humiliate someone so new to the business and i thin she was very nice about it all.

Beyonce was very good doing what she did, she is a credit to music.

Kanye West thought he was cool, but ended up making himself look like a fool. He can't even sing compared to Taylor. My girlfriend says that he can't even rap because his music doesn't make sense. He needs to understand the quote, “Wise men speak because they have something to say; fools because they have to say something.” Not to mention he's arrogant and snobby. He thinks his music is unrivaled. He was probably drunk at the Awards or either is an impulsive speaker saying things at the wrong moments.

I love Kanye West. However, I think it was completely out of line to interrupt her speech. He had no reason to get on that stage at all! Taylor had a great video! Beyonce won eventually too. If only he could of calmed down and watched the rest of the show THEN made a comment at the after interviews or something. Anyway, it made for an interesting night!!

He deserves all the crap he is getting. I've read other questions with answers that say he HAD to do it because MTV is racist. If this is REALLY about race, then why did Obama (you know... the black president?) say that Kanye is a jackass? Even INTELLIGENT black people know a piece of crap when they see one. Kanye deserved to be b****-slapped like the cry baby he is. It isn't about black or white. A punk is a punk no matter what color he is.

I gotta say I'ved liked most of his music but what a loser... he wasn't just speaking his mind? he made a fool of someone else. If he was to speak him mind he should have just kept it to himself or atleast not have came on stage. I bet he felt dumb when Beyonce won best video at the end. way to take the spotlight off of chris brown, kanye.

Unfortunately, he's another entertainer who has gotten a big head and feels that he is hip hop royalty and nothing can touch him. We live in a great country that has come a long way together to make peace and treat one another as equals. Still, this douche bag can't see past the color of his OWN skin. That was obvious in his statement (another idiotic, big headed interruption) "George Bush doesn't care about black people". He's consumed with himself and he's losing tons of respect in the entertainment industry. What a loser thing to do with your talent and fame.

Aside from him being an obnoxious low-life, I only cared about the embarrassment he caused to such a beautiful well-cultured girl like Taylor Swift. My heart broke for her. She remained on stage like and looked like she was holding back tears. Her moment of joy was ruined. He robbed her of something she worked very hard at accomplishing. All for his selfish ghetto ego. There is nothing he can do to make up for this. He showed his true colors for sure with this one.

Your opinion of him is right on. No I don't think MTV planned a no-class move like that, kanye west is a no talent/ no class jerk all on his own
