I loved him in City of Joy and Ghost. I also liked Roadhouse and of course Dirty Dancing. But the same as many others I was always in awe of the relationship between Patrick and Lisa. Despite having no children, they had a full loving relationship, and my heart breaks for her now. The way he loved animals also said alot about the kind of man he was. A beautiful man, inside and out.

    RIP Patrick and God Bless

Poor Patrick!! I felt so sad. I saw a small snippet on the news. Its rather sad because his cancer was something definately that he didnt bring on himself and all he got was 3 minutes on news time.

Im going to be cliche. Dirty Dancing. I love it (like alot of people) I only seen that and Ghost..but he was a very attractive man. I love the fact that he was married to his wife for such a long time..for hollywood standards.

    Its such a shame.

After the days of Nureyev and Baryishnikov and Saturday Night Fever he was the only one standing up for the male dancer. Nothing more until Paul Mercurio in Ballroom and little since then.

A brave man, worked hard and lived his dream.

    Goodbye Patrick.

I really liked his films Ghost and Red Dawn.

Hollywood has lost another great actor

But his death is suppose sends a message out to anyone to get a health check for cancer (whatever cancer it may be).

RIP Patrick Swayze, you will be missed. :(

He was not the first choice for Ghost. But he wanted it so badly, he asked to read the script for them - something most high paid actors by-pass. He read the "goodbye Molly" scene and had the producers in tears.

I still quote his "Point Break" line about where the best surfing beach in the world is. While other Californians said, Hawaii, Mexico, or Sth America, Patrick said.

    "Bells Beach, Australia"!

Friends who visit me in Geelong still ask to be taken for a drive there.

The movie 'Ghost' was my all time favorite. At the time I had just bought my first TV and VCR purchased the movie and everyday after work I would pick up my son from after school care grab a salad and rush home to watch my movie. I bet we watched it every day for a year. We would play it then rewind and select the slow motion on the remote and analise his ever move. His remarkable talent of reaching within to draw into the scene with him. I especially liked the night of his learning to work the clay for making pottery ending up in the greatest love scene to actually reveal his excitement viewed through his tight blue jeans. What fun they must of had making it real. Everyone involved. Absolutely perfection. He will be greatly missed.

  • Honestly, it was the LOVE LOVE LOVE he shared with his beautiful wife of so many years, they met when she was 16 and he was 20 and the love never ever stopped and I imagine still won't. May she be strong in this very hard time. I'd love to have such an outstanding love as those two people shared. My thoughts to Patricks wife and family. He truly was one of a kind.
