Eagles signing Jeffy Garcia?

Do you think that's a good decsion?

Jeff went 5-1 when McNabb was injured in 2006

But, then they have Micheal Vick who will be out on week 3

I don't really trust Kevin Kolb with the starting week 2

What do you guys think? If, McNabb comes back they'll have 4 QBs total.

Would you sign Garcia too?

If i was the Andy Reid, i would bring AJ Feely back.

I know you people might say he is worse than Kevin Kolb. But, When he started QB against almost-undefeated-patriots he was doing well, until the end....

So, What do you guys think? and What would you do?

I'm fine with the signing. They needed to bring in a QB and Garcia like Feeley knows the system so they might as well bring in the better of the two. Depending on the seriousness of McNabb's rib I think Garcia will probably find himself on the free agent market before the middle of the season. I'm expecting Kolb to get the start on Sunday which I'm ok with because he's their number 2 and deserves a shot.

Any team who is in need of a QB and passed on Garcia were fools. The veteran is in a good spot now. It was a good choice for the Eagles because he already knows the system and can fit in right away. Obviously, the team doesn't have confidence in Kolb or they wouldn't have signed Garcia. What does that mean for Kolb? I bet he doesn't stick around long. I also bet that the Eagles draft a QB somewhere along the line next year. There is NO WAY Vick is ready to lead an offense even when his suspension is over. Garcia is the man if McNabb cannot go. He can lead the Eagles to the playoffs. The Eagles were lucky to get him. Other teams were stupid not to sign him. Even if they keep 4 QBs, that's fine because Vick can be used as more than a QB. He is a weapon usable in multiple roles (think wildcat and such).

Definite good thing for the Eagles to sign Jeff Garcia. There is no time to lose ground in a competitive NFC.

This is definitely a good signing. They do not have Vick for week two and the only active quarterback on their roster would have been Kolb. Garcia has already shown that he has the skill set to win with the Eagles while Kolb has done nothing significant so far. The Eagles have the players to make a title run but they need to win these important games while McNabb is recovering from his fractured rib.

I think it is a bad move only because they have not even completely signed him yet, because they are still trying to trade Hank Baskett so they can make a spot on the roster for Garcia. I also think it is a bad move because you don't need him, Kolb one day is gonna have to take over for McNabb, he needs this experience. Also what are they gonna do when Vick can finally play. I think that Garcia will only be an Eagle for a couple of games.

Jeff Garcia is a winner why the eagles released him in the first place idk. I never even heard of Kevin Kolb until yesterday. It doesnt matter when Michael Vick comes back. Hes still rusty and hes in an entirely new system which is pass happy. Something Vick didnt do much on Atlanta. Even when Vick is in its not like hes going to play much quarterback in Philly. He'll most likely be used in short passing plays and line up as a receiver or special teams or something. NOT a starter.

I wouldn't have signed Jeff Garcia, it basically stops the growth of Kolb and there isn't enough room for him when Vick comes back in week 3

Jeff is the right choice. Kolb is no guarantee to be good. Vick hasn't really played a real NFL game in 2 years.

The only good veteran QB choice they got is Jeff

Jeff Garcia is a VETERAN...It was a smart move...AJ Feeley is OK, but given the choice, I would go with Jeff Garcia...

Also, the Panthers just signed AJ Feeley, so thats out of the Q now...

The boneheads of the NFL, the RAIDERS were stupid to let Garcia go...He should be starting for the Raiders right now...The JaMarcus Russell experiment failed a COUPLE YEARS ago...

    I think it's a good move.

Garcia's proven he can work in that system. Plus, when he was with the Eagles a few years ago & was the main QB, he took them deep into the playoffs if I'm not mistaken.

    Good(albeit surprising) move imo.
