What can i do to make my video game story better?
my video game storyline is about a boy called zane who lives on a now abandon earth almost 200,000 years in the future. he lives in a small town with many people, but one day a pirate organization invades the town and he accidently ends up on their spaceship, and it lands on the earth like planet called bogon. like jak and dexter it is up to him and a group of skilled people to save the city of calabri from the evil magnoids. after this game, him and his now new best freinds embark on another adventure with an even better storyline. they get to explore the maraxus galaxy and save it from the evil Professor Neturious and his alliance of alein races trying to get revenge on the galactic government.

You have to build up the character Zane so people identify with him, so some background on Zane what type of boy he is and what his friends are like, does he have any special powers.
Also if earth is populated how is it abandoned did this new race colonize it after the human race died out, or was there world war three and the human race slowly populated the planet again.
Eg: Zane is always going out his way to get into trouble, so he sees the spaceship and thinks well this will get me into BIG trouble etc...
Defining what the game is will help eg: first person, third person or group game this will help you work out hope much you need to expand on the other characters.
Maybe he could find out that the evil magnoids are actually mutated humans and he saves the world by allowing them into the community, where they then help him to destroy Professor Neturious who happens to be a time traveller and hes the one that started world war three causing the human race to almost die out. This way everything is linked.
