Day trading refers to the practice of buying and selling financial instruments within the same trading day such that all positions are usually closed before the market close for the trading day....

When the position is squared off same day is know as day trading.
eg you buy 100 shares of xyz today morning and you sell 100 shares of xyz in the afternoon before the market closes whether you make profit or loss, its a day trading or intraday trading.

day trading means buy shares today and sell in todays trading session. if ur holding share for more then 1 day its call as delvery trade. in intrday u buy or sell share on the same day of trading session
