Cljisters not ranked?

How can it be that Kim does not have a ranking, let alone inside top 50 with her OPEN win? It was said that a player needs to play 3 tournaments before receiving a ranking. The Open was her third, and her record I believe is 15-2 during the 3 tournaments. Plus by winning it she receives over 1000 points and that automatically puts her at #60, at least. Plus with all the points she earned beating other top ranked players, above her, even in her first 2 tournaments. Anyone know why she isnt ranked yet?

People, you obviously didnt read my post...I said to get a ranking you need to play 3 tournaments, this was her 3rd, Im well aware lol.

However thank you for stating she is #19. Leave it to yahoo, with its often glitches, and for some reason #19 isnt listed on present rankings.

UGH hello it is updated but if you listened to me, what I said, if you just took a look when tit was updated it left #19 out...goes from 18 to 20, no 19....it WAS updated...ugh nevermind

    It's probably just because they didn't get around to it, she's 19th on the above link. Right now she's on 2310 points.

    This is because she didn't play enough tournament to be ranked before the U.S Open. But after her U.S Open victory, she'll be ranked in the top 20.

    Thats because the rankings have to update. They updated it today and Kim is number 20 in the world.

    tennis ranking on the womens side are about how much you play. And as i recall didnt she just return back to tennis after being gone for two years? i don't keep that good of track of tennis. The williams sisters have won most of the grand slam events and they are hardly ranked no1. And you seen what they did in the doubles to the no1 seed?

    You have to be in a lot of tournements to keep your ranking!

    umm sundi, were you watching those games, how about she beat serena and the girl in the finals. thats how she won.s he won that fair ranking fair and square. its about time they got something right for once!

    well i believe she was out 4 2 years dats y she wasnt ranked b4 the open but i believe she is in the top 20 right now

    well,I believe the WTA rankings will be updated by next week and you'll see Kim at No.19 most likely.

    how in the hell do you jump all the way to 20th, even after winning a slam? If someone else won, they wouldn't have went that high. The point system "works" when it wants to
