blackholes? created by supermassive stars imploding?

what would happen if there were 2 in reasonably close proximity? what would be the outcome if 1 was to explode/implode , could they co exist close to one another?would the one that was a blackhole ,suck the other one in ,would there be 2 blackholes?

    Interesting that you should ask that. I'm writing a sci-fi blog and wrote about a binary star system that was going super nova. I know binary stars do exist and stars do die and sometimes produce black holes, so, what your asking may have actually happened at some point. But I haven't the faintest what the result would be.

    They would robit each other in much the same manner they did as massive stars before the dual novae. Of course, this is an unlikely scneario. Most mass distributions deny the ability of two supergiants to form that close together. Catyclismic variables might be something you'd like to read up on.

    They may enter a mutual orbit, like a binary star. Or, they may collide. If they collie, then the two will become one. Eventually, this may happen to all matter in the Universe. All of the matter in the universe may, one day, become a part of one massive black hole.

    This is just one of many theories, however.

    There have been a few binary neutron star systems discovered. If one of those original stars was slightly more massive, you'd have a neutron star - black hole binary. But the neutron star would likely be revolving too rapidly to be captured by the black hole. These systems would be very hard to detect, but I'm sure they're out there.

    The smaller black hole would start to orbit the bigger one and eventually get sucked into it. When that eventually happens I don't think anything would happen.

    what would probably happen is the black hole would feed off the star creating an accretion cloud idk the exact name for this process
