Red Sox? Pitching have no noticed...?
After inconsistent pitching all season long, Lester and Bucholtz have been extremely good for about 2 months. Beckett just ended a rough stretch and steps up come playoff time! Now tonight Dice-K has gone 6 SCORELESS innings against the ANGELS!!!?
Are they catching stride at the perfect time?
I have 3 starters I believe in with, Lester, Beckett and Bucholtz (in that order! as strange as it looks to have Lester #1!)
After that #4 is an unknown. Considering the Yankees have CC, Pettite then 2 question marks with Joba and Burnett (who seems totally lost!) I have to say I like their chances!

Lester Is Dominant
Buccholz- Has his confidence back
Beckett- Back from his rough stretch
Dice-K-- Is doing better, needs to lower the ball counts though. but Good job Dice-k today
Byrd and Wakefield will do fine also...
So that is a defintely good rotation

It"s not the best Red Sox team we've seen,but they have a lot of players with playoff experience and that's reason to believe you cant count them out.The pitching raises doubt after beckett and lester but you never know Dice could get hot,Clay could roll after that it"s life support.

Beckett= ended tough slump
Lester= in an amazing streak
Buchholz= Having many good starts
Dice-K= Very good performance vs Angels
Wakefield/Byrd= ???????
If we continue at this pace:
"Magic Number" for WC= 14
Current Scores:
BOS is winning TEX is loosing
If day ended now, Magic Number = 12
With 15 games left for the Red Sox

Red Sox, if play .500 meaning 8-8
Texas needs to play 12-4
Red Sox clearly have an advantage and the pitching of the last 5 days has been off-the-charts, definitely a push for a playoff spot.
