Do you think Carney Lansford has finally got it through the Giants' heads...?

... that they need to be more patient at the plate, watch more pitches, and wait for something to drive? If these first two games against the Rockies are any indication, it seems that they've made substantial progress in this area lately.

Go Giants!

Update:

Hey, if Pablo and Bengie want to hack like madmen, it's fine with me: they're both great badball hitters. It's the rest of the lineup that needs discipline, and they've been showing it lately.

Well if this continues with the Giants hitters I would say about damn time. I hope it finally gets through to them that if your patient enough you will see good pitches to hit.

As a Giants fan Im speechless, the players are actually making the opposing pitchers work and are not swinging at garbage like they have all season long. I wouldn't say Lansford has finally got the Giants hitters into what it takes to be a successful hitter, unless they hit just like this the rest of the way. Usually Giants fans get one of these games and then all the sudden the next 5 games are 1-2 runs a game.

edit:Yeah Sandoval is a good bad ball hitter but he is an mlb hitter and cannot be swinging at balls thrown above his head.

Hopefully the only thing is that the 2 best Giants hitters (Bengie, Pablo) both like to chase bad pitches and often are able to get hits.

I hope so. It seems like a cycle....they score 6+ runs in a couple games and everybody thinks they have it. Then there's a road trip where they score nothing.

Although, they dis bring up a hitting coach from Fresno.

I sure hope so. I was completely shocked that they worked Ubaldo Jimenez to such a high pitch count so early. It makes me mad when they're so impatient.
