Laptop keyboard keys stopped working suddenly?

Last night I was on my laptop working on a paper for college. I shut down the computer and went to get something to eat. About an hour later, I logged back onto the computer to find out that my "z, x, c, and v" keys were not working on it. Its is a dell inspiron 1525 and the laptop is not even a year old yet. When I discovered they werent working, i took the keys off and cleaned the very well and the placed them back on they still did not work. I also system restored my computer to the day before yesterday to see if that was the case. My computer is telling me that the keyboard is working fine, however, obviously its not. I have never ate while on the computer and i have never spilt anything on it. please let me know what my options are. thank you.

yes i know that i can go and get a 5 dollar usb keyboard, but right now i am not in the position too. thanks

omg,i have that laptop in pink, i couldnt believe it when i read that, i would go to currys or something and tell them about it, they may be abe to help you and find out whats wrong, maybe if its new enough take it back, or if it is unfixable complain to the people you bought it from, you are right, you shouldnt have to deal with this from a laptop less than a year old

It may have died. If you're getting no respones at all try hooking up a USB keyboard if you can get your hands on one. Never heard of a key combination that completely locks the keyboard.
