question about the new format for contacts?
As usual, Yahoo has gone & screwed up a good thing. The new appearance & functionality of my contacts folder absolutely sucks. Is it at all possible to switch to a "classic" format for my contacts folder so that they are all right there for the viewing as they were before? It is getting seriously annoying to use Yahoo. Change is fine, but it should be an option one can choose as opposed to being forced into.

Well, maybe we can all make it through this mess. Yahoo has absolutely made sending emails a nightmare, as well as adding, selecting, changing, altering data. "Contacts" the way we were used to (boy do I ever miss the format !), seems now to be called "Address Book". At least we can see most of our format there, including nicknames and email addresses. Unfortunately, we have to do it each time we need to write an email, but here's how:
Yahoo
Your Yahoo email page
Compose
Select from underlined - To, CC, or BCC (I prefer BCC for privacy)
Enlarge the Address Book to full screen by dragging the lower right corner
Make your selections
Bottom left of page - Input choices
Now your particular contacts are in the email
I always put my email address in the "To"
From another answerer:
If you still want to contact Yahoo about what you do not like about the new contact list, they have a feedback form. Remember it is best to be specific and polite.
1. Select which mail you use, All-New, or Classic Mail on this link:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/
2. On the help page that opens up click Contact Us button at the top. You will need to sign in.
3. Click the Yahoo Mail or Yahoo "Classic" Mail Feedback form at the bottom of the page and fill it out.

Sorry, it is formatted the same way in Classic. I guess we'll just have to research it to learn how to use it.
