[ POLL ] Which pitcher out of these three would you prefer on your team: Carpenter, Wainwright, or Franklin?
I just thought it would be fun to see which pitcher people would choose from the St. Louis Cardinals to be on their team. Thanks for answering.
A) Chris Carpenter
B) Adam Wainwright
C) Ryan Franklin
"They all suck" is a quote from one of the responses. Let's see, 2 of them will be nominated for NL Cy Young this year and the other will be nominated for the Rolaids Relief Award.

I'm taking a starter on this one. I would take all 3 in a heartbeat.
Who do I want, who do I want?
Just give me Wainwright! Or Capenter if you want...best one-two pitching duo in the majors.
Lucky Cardinals!
Oh and to draw on my fellow Brewers fan's answer above, let us have one of your good pitchers this time.

I like all of them. Carp and Wainwright have had spectacular seasons following injuries from last year. Both are under consideration for the Cy Young. Franklin has been the key part to the bullpen turnaround which gave up 31 saves last year. But the funny thing is that it Carp's status was questioned early this spring and people wondered whether he'll be his same dominant self again and people wondered what would come out of Wainwright after an injury-filled year. But the biggest question was the closer's role, the Cards began the season with closer's by-committee and they didn't know who would step up. But then they found that guy in Ryan Franklin and even he was a big question for closing games. He was a more reliable 8th inning setup man by he has excelled this season in the closer's role and even he could win the Rolaids Relief like you said.
I'm sorry if this is long Power but I'm giving you my inside scoop on their season.

Its a really tough choice between Wainwright and carpenter.
Carpenter has the experience and he is one of those fews guys in the MLB that I can count on having a sub 3 era at the end of the year season after season.
Wainwright is puting up dominating numbers, only to be overshadowed by Tim Lincecum. He is still young and can be so good for a string of games.
I would not choose Franklin because hes kinda old and this year is actually his first godo year(in my eyes) as a relief pitcher. Not to impugn his work, but hes not yet an ace in my book.
I guess I will go with Carpenter.

B)Because he is young and outstanding. My second choice would be C). Carpenter is my third choice because I like Wainwright's and Franklins stuff better. But if I had a bunch of pitchers to pick from and Carpenter was in it, but the other two weren't. There is a bigger chance I would pick Carpenter.

Carpenter.
Wainwright is also outstanding, but Carpenter just impresses me more for some reason. Maybe it is because I haven't seen Wainwright as much.

X) Neither. It just wouldn't be right for a Cardinal pitcher to play for the Brewers (even though we have Suppan and Looper :D)
However, I guess if I had to pick one, I would pick Carpenter anyday.
