what is it? what about my definition was wrong?

Update:

this was mostly to people from my last question who told me i was wrong about it. it's the one out of webster's dictionary.

    how about you first tell us what your definition of socialism is, then we'll tell you if you're right or wrong.

    First poster is wrong. They have no idea.

    Funding infrastructure (i.e. roads) is not socialism.

    Collecting tax and re-distributing it is socialism by definition.

    We've been heading that way since FDR, Obama would just like to take it further than we've been.

    Socialism is anything we the people decide should be part of the commons. Police, Fire, Roads, Schools, Military, Social Security, Medicare, etc.
