This sort of organization always does better and lasts longer if they take their money from very anonymous private sources.

Taking Federal dollars was an act of supreme Hubris for ACORN.

Who could know that every single one of those dollars would have to be fully accounted for sooner or later?

ACORN is not exactly the Iraq government under Maliki where trunkloads of $100 bills delivered by the CIA can just disappear without a trace and with no effective inquiry.

Maliki can tell a Federal Marshall to bite him.

ACORN is not in that position.

    Hubris.

    What were they thinking?

This is just another distraction to satisfy the general public and this cutting off the funding item will not last very long and they will be getting even more money than before.

With the amount of Democrats gaining a sure advantage with the continuation of Acorn, you may as well try to stop funding Israel.

To borrow logic forged in the manner of today's Democrat (e.g. Durbin attaches the Dream Act to a DoD spending bill during a time of war; John Clyburn assessing American success in Iraq will be hostile to DNC agenda), bad news for the Dems translates into good fortune for America.

good news but I think they need to kick it up a notch and investigate ACORN right to the top dog the Rathke brothers .

As well as investigate SEIU as one Rathke brother former ACORN head now on board of SEIU.

Also should be looked into is Apollo Alliance as one of the head guys was co-founder of Weatherman Underground along side Ayers because Apollo Alliance and SEIU aided in writing stimulus bill.

And if you were in writing the bill easy to funnel money .

This is very good news. I hope it's true. Both senators in my state, IL, voted to continue funding. But there's no corruption in the administration...she said sarcastically.

Nope it is justified due to the current issues in the organization. Should they clean up their act and get acquitted then congress can look at whether to re-fund them.

Obama still has to sign the bill..... which he HAS to do or lose all credibility - will be interesting to hear what he has to say about it.
