Does the TI-83 support Java?

Hi, I have a TI-83 graphing calculator. I know some Java and I want to make my own apps for it. Although I have a couple of questions. First of all, does the TI-83 support Java? Secondly, how can I connect it to my computer to download the app?

Java, no. The only languages the TI-83 (Plus) can support is TI-Basic, its native language, and Z80 Assembly, the language for its processor.

Perhaps if you can write out a Java program and then convert it into Z80 assembly, it might work. But normal Java programs won't.

To transfer something from the computer to the calculator, you'll need transferring software, such as TI-Connect or TiLP. TI-Connect can be downloaded from http://education.ti.com/educationportal/sites/US/p...
