MSN problem...help please?? :(?

I logged on to my MSN Messenger and it said if i want to continue then i HAVE TO download the newest version of Messenger...so i did...and afterwards it doesnt work anymore...it keeps saying "Windows Live Messenger" is not working and shuts down :(

I've searched all over the internet through forums...installed and deinstalled Messenger a billion times, re-started my PC so many times....but i cant seem to find a solution...or even WHAT the problem is so i can solve it...why isnt it working? Can anyone please help me?? :(

    I had the same problem, but you can't start MSN with the old icon of msn, you have to look up the new icon

    If you did that and it still doesn't work, try installing an older version of msn, like msn 7.0 or something
