Anyone know any good deathmetal bands?
It's mostly crappy. Loud and fast does not equal good. So far all I have is Amon Amarth, Devildriver, and... that's it. And no, Slipknot is not deathmetal, Archenemy sounds too generic, and goremetal (read Cannibal Corpse) has no skill. I'm looking for bands that sound decent. Loud is not decent btw. SO, anyone know any good deathmetal bands?
Good God that's alot more than I expected... gonna be a while to check them all out, and most of you sound like you know more than I do, thanks everyone for the lists! Keep them coming!

All genres are 'mostly crappy'.
Devildriver really aren't death metal, Cannibal Corpse are the only straight death metal band you mentioned there. I don't like them personally but they really don't lack technical skill.
Amon Amarth fall under melodic death metal and I'm gonna guess you'll only be interested in that (and the more mainstream/accessible sounding bands), you might want to check out: At The Gates, Dark Tranquillity, Ensiferum, Wintersun, Insomnium, Soilwork, Hypocrisy, Amorphis, Kalmah, Mors Principum Est, Nightrage, Mercenary, blablabla.

Try this site, it is amazing, has a list of all the deathmetal bands and who they sound like. So just look for bands that sound like Devildriver or who ever you want to, trust me it really works. It has never let me down :)
