    Latest Cisco Ios Version

The latest release is 12.1.22-EA13. Not all the 2950s are end of life - there is still the possibility of a few little updates.

You can use ip helper addresses to redirect DHCP requests on a per-vlan basis. If you're using a router with subinterfaces to route between vlans, then apply the subinterface-level command "ip helper-address x.x.x.x" to redirect DHCP discovers and requests to the DHCP server you want them to go to. You could also run the DHCP service on a router that's getting dot1q tagged frames from your PCs, and give it two separate DHCP pools, one for each subnet, each corresponding to a vlan. A couple other possibilities come to mind involving routed SVI's for the vlans configured on the managed switch, depending on what your switch supports, but a few questions I have are: What is performing routing on this network? Where are your DHCP server(s)?

It probably depends on the customer, since many customers require specialized versions of IOS
