Do you mean make you take? Neither, they are not police officers and only hand out tickets.

note: Lanier v. City of Woodburn was a 9th Circuit ruling, it has no bearing in New York, the 2nd. It was also specific to the situation, and not and out and out ban on the process.

There is so much when you contrast both places that it is too much to enumerate. They are nothing alike and I have lived in both cities. I dont understand why people always asking about these two cities together. I think NY is much more like Los Angeles because L.A. is full of NYers and is fast, big money, and the land of opportunity in everything like NYC. San Francisco is slower, tinier, cleaner, like Boston in many ways, polite people, small transit system. I would think you would compare Seattle with NY, not San Francisco because it is a big city.

Either way you should sue them. It's an illegal search of your body. See Lanier v. City of Woodburn. The courts are ruling that drug testing is unconstitutional.
