Where in NC are you going? If anywhere in the Western part of the state, avoid tolls completely by taking I-84 West to I-81 South to I-77.

If you are going to the eastern part of the state and going through NYC, you can count on about $20 in tolls all together.

I just did that drive 3 weeks ago. It's 20-ish; keep $30 in your glove compartment just in case I'm off a little.

Off the top of my head:

about 5 bucks for the mass pike

a buck or two in NY by the tappan zee

about 8 bucks for the jersey turnpike

about 8 bucks around the delaware bridge (a few on the delaware side, and a few on the Maryland side).

you're clear once you get to D.C.

I went to the Raleigh-Durham area en route to the Outer Banks of NC. If you're going further inland (say, to Charlotte) along 81 and skip MD/DE and most of Jersey, I'm sure you'll pay quite a bit less than you would on 95.

The walk will get you to Old Granary Burying Ground where Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, and John Hancock are buried; can take you to King's Chapel Burying Ground, the Boston's oldest cemetery; Old South Meeting House where in actuality the ringing speeches of patriots spawned the Boston Tea Party and the Old State House, Boston's oldest community building and your website of the Boston Massacre.

Depends which route you take. You haven't specified.

P is incorrect. Even if you took I-84 to I-81, there are toll bridges over the Hudson and Delaware Rivers.

I don't know about any of those but I know that the tolls in Texas are all a dollar. Just basically have a bunch of quarters in your car or some dollars and you will be fine.

Would be less than $20 each way is a good rule of thumb.
