Has Ring Magazine been corrupt since it was bought by Oscar De La Hoya?
It always seem that Ring Magazine favors Golden Boy fighters. I have major respect for Mosley and Hopkins, but they havent fought for a while, while Cotto has been active and only lost once, and that was controversial. Plus what is Rafael Marquez and Israel Vasquez doing there? There are six guys there from Golden Boy in the top 10? Has Golden Boy corrupted Ring Magazine?

First off Christina is not the only one shocked at Mosley being rated above Cotto, obviously there is some bias towards Golden Boy's fighters. Shane is a great fighter, but he is nowhere near the third best fighter in the world. That said, I think GoldenBoy actually forced boxing to clean up some of it's more corrupt tactics.
Lets face it, boxing has always been a sewer, politically it's all about the $$$, always has been, and most likely always will be. Ring Magazine has always been controversial, it's almost impossible to get a majority consensus on who the P4P best is anyway, we just got blessed with guys like Roy Jones, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquioa over the past couple decades, historically there have been very few overly dominate fighters able to favorably compare with the likes of Sugar Ray Robinson since he coined the whole P4P debate.
Ring magazine is no more corrupt than any other media outlet, which is to say it reflects the opinion of it's owners. I have on many occasions disagreed with it's opinion, but calling it "corrupt" is a stretch. Question it's accuracy, yes, question it's integrity, no I stop short of calling it corrupt.

Other than their thrilling trilogy, Marquez and Vasquez hadn't had any spectacular matches as of lately. One of the Klitschko brothers deserve the no.10 spot, but I guess that the heavyweight division doesn't have any other contenders. Arreola-Klitschko should lived to his hype.
Current P4P (by ring magazine)
1. Manny Pacquiao
2. Floyd Mayweather
3. Shane Mosley
4. Bernanrd Hopkins
5. Juan Manuel Marquez
6. Israel Vazquez
7. Rafael Marquez
8. Nonito Donaire
9. Miguel Cotto
10. Celestino Caballero

I think somehow with the wars between Golden Boy and Top Rank, Golden Boy may favor their own fighters. Yes I agree that it is shocking to see Cotto all the way that low.

Oscar De La hoya has been known to pay judges to favor Golden Boy fighters. I dont mean to accuse him of anything but I have noticed tremendous bias in the part of Ring Magazine since it was acquired. No way that Cotto is below anyone except Pacquiao, Hopkins, and Mayweather. He should be ranked the 4th p4p best.

News flash!!!!!!
Practically ALL aspects of boxing are corrupt, money has corrupted boxing since the turn of the century. Open your eyes kid. Don't go singling out GBP just cause their fighters are good at what they do.
1) Manny Pacquiao (GBP has a share of interest)
3)Shane Mosley, considered by many to best WW out there
4)B-Hop, undisputed MW champ, LH champ
5) JMM, undisputed LW champ
6)Israel, Izzy's title defenses and trilogy with another great bantamweight fighter kept him sharp
I think you just hatin'!
