What Is The Name Of This Song?

I first heard this song in 2003..I was at a mall with my cousin, and the music video for this song came on..in it, a man was singing while the camera kept cutting to a woman standing alone (on what looked like a deserted cliff), holding a basin and crying (the basin filled up with the woman's tears). At the end of the video, a red tear slowly slid down the woman's cheek and fell into the basin, turning the water red. PLEASE try to tell me what song this is..I loved this song, but I never found out what it's called or who sang it. I thought it might be Nickelback at first, but I haven't found a music video by them that fits my description. THANKS SO MUCH! :)
