These acai berry scammers are spambots, using throwaway accounts. Blocking them will do no good because the account will be gone by tomorrow and replaced by 100 more. All you can do is report them and if their answers are deleted quickly, the 'bot controller' may decide that it's not a worthwhile exercise and stop. This is very unlikely. If a spam answer sticks around for a couple of hours, it's done its job.

Yahoo! could probably do more to stop this, but all they've done is prevented Level 1 accounts from posting 'live' links.

As an example, take the spambot 'Oscar' who's answered this question. I shall report his answer and the other two answers in his profile, and thay should disappear. Here is his profile: http://answers.yahoo.com/my/profile?show=7TDA37Tla...

Check back later and you'll find that he's either answered 0 questions or you get an 'Oops' message, meaning the account's been deleted.

Interesting question. I would have to say people won't stop answering with links to their sites. At least here, the really obnoxious ones get voted out and/or removed. A lot of blogs just let them pile up and you have nothing but junk. On that note, check out my page on acai berries . . . just kidding.

I don't know, but they seem quite persistent. I think we should scam the scammers. Take this Oscar dousche who already posted on your comments. Why doesn't everyone who reads this question email little Oscar.
