What should I do to fight against Universal Healthcare?

I think that universal healthcare is unneccessary and totally bullshit. First of all I don't even need healthcare because I believe in God and he will heal me if I get sick. So why should I have to pay money out of my own pocket to prolong the life of sinners?

Anything I can do to join the fight? other than voting?

    civic participation.

call your reps, and start getting educated about it...tell other people the truth...I BELIEVE people want to do what is RIGHT if they KNOW what right is.

It would be best to CHOOSE to help our neighbors (that live close by) first, then CHOOSE if/who we want to help our neighbors who live further away. It's waaaay more efficient. We could organize the community.

And as far as God healing you, just so you know, He EXPECTS you to do your part...and having health insurance and living healthy is one of the best ways to do that...He does His work THROUGH you...and you have to be healthy so you don't become a burden to the rest of society just in case God doesn't heal you (He might not)...He expects us ALL to do our part, so the one's who REALLY need the help can get it.

And you shouldn't HAVE TO pay money out of your own pocket to prolong the life of people who aren't listening to God (and costing the rest of society lots)...But Jesus DID say to help them anyway...so it should be up to us to CHOOSE and not be FORCED THROUGH our gov't...It would be better to help people on the local level instead of going through the shapeless, massive, inefficient, corrupt, and non-transparant gov't...get the help to the people who NEED it first.

That's what the problem is...you can't FORCE people to do what's right...it takes away the choice, which means it's not the same.

And you are NOT supposed to happen in AMERICA...the people were supposed to help the people. Charity separate from Gov't.

And it takes away from our ability to just do what Jesus told us to do (because we want to).

People are mistaking their gov't for GOD.

The atheists have made sure of that.

***Oh, and you can protest, and make your voice heard, and don't be hateful or violent, and get your facts straight. You can light fires in the minds of the majority.

We can use the Truth to fight.

****Just zone in on Jesus' teachings and examples...he had it RIGHT! Only we can't force what He said on people THROUGH our gov't, it messes things up. It's hypocricy, what they're doing today. We're not supposed to FORCE our personal views on the people THROUGH the gov't "because it's the right thing to do."

First look to see what your senator and congressmen have to say about health care. There is no point going into this verbal guns ablaze if the your reps are already dead set against it.

From there you make calls to their offices and express your opinion on why you think it should not go through.

I too have my faith in God, but it is wise to use more than just saying, "Don't do it, because I believe in God."

Start looking at the information available on the health care; get it from reliable sources. Find out from people who are against it, why they are against it and then check their resources for verification.

After you've got you eggs in a row, call your reps and offer intelligent, valid reasons why you don't want it.

If all this however doesn't sway them, and they vote for it after all, when they come up for re-election vote their butts out!

    Wow.

    You're brilliant.

When you get cancer or even something as simple as pneumonia, have fun waiting for God to heal you without the help of a doctor.

This doesn't even have anything to do with healthcare. This is pure ignorance.

You believe in God and he will heal you when you get sick, good luck with that! If that was true, we wouldn't need doctors and surgeons and immunizations.

Good luck playing Russian Roulette with your life.

And if God sends a doctor to assist will you just pay with a thank you ?

Well good luck on God healing you when you get sick. That is your decision, don't make it for everyone else.*

I'm not a health care plan. Presuming to know the mind of God is heresy by the way.

Start by telling the US Representatives you want the SAME KIND OF HEALTHCARE THEY GET !!!

As lame as it sounds just keep letting the politicians know that you don't want it. Write, fax, call. It is working. Find people who believe as you do and join with them in the town halls and protests. Keep reminding them that this country is run by the people and it is time they remembered that.

  • E-mail your representative and senators and let them know that you don't want the health care options being presented and it will influence how you vote in future elections
