They probably have a deep set scent of you! My dog is constantly stealing my flip flops to sleep on - not chew. Anything that is close to your body developes a strong scent.

its because your dog wants to play. you know how a dog brings you a ball or a toy to play with him and you don't want to play they learn to take things that they aren't supposed to have. it drives humans crazy and then the dogs get yelled at for no reason other than they just want to play or want attention. for example the dog takes a shoe or the tv remote you try to get it back but the dog runs off with it. they want you to chase cause its part of a game they like it and they think you are playing. now if your dog is hiding the dentures like under the bed it is probably telling you that you have to search and find them. what you can do is get a toy that he likes and hide it and get him to find it. or play hide and go seek. if you hide and call your dog your dog will find you.
Source(s): if you don't want your dog to take or steal something that he likes to get into keep it out of your dogs reach. like my dog likes flipflops and sandels and if you leave them out and you leave the room for a few minutes the has his mouth on them shredding them so you put them away. - 1 decade ago
Lol maybe she just wants to play? Is she an inside dog? If you don't allready, you should get those little toy bones and let her play with them, or get some kind of toy she can play with around the house and hide. My dog takes my shoes and other things and hides them--- so i got her some toys to play with and she hid them instead! =] My dog is silly. Lol

Did the bed hit you while were jumpin... I mean checking changing the sheets? Wow, you're just like a dog marking your territory on the f*cking corner of the wall.

How funny ... Yea , I think your dog really likes you and when you are not there thats the closest thing to your scent and they love slobber !! I would put them where he cant reach them and leave him something that has your scent such as a scarf that he CAN have for him self.

hey im there with you. mine does the same. what i figured out over time is that they see you take them out of your mouth and they think that they hurt you, so they go take them and hide them so they want hurt you no more.
