Bad experiences w/cycling or spinning class? Done it twice and I think it's seriously hurting me down bellow?
Has anyone had bad experiences or issues with cycling? I've taken two classes and I feel like I have an Imprint of a bike seat one my vagina! ouch! I don't know if it's because of spinning or not but after the pain goes away my vagina feels almost numb. sex isn't pleasing... I can hardly feel anything... and normally my boyfriend and I have amazing sex. Plus, during the class I feel like I pee a little. Gross, I know, but does anyone else have issues with cycling? I just want to know if it's normal

First thing to do is to STOP riding. I had a similar problem when I first started. I went for a 1 hour ride without any bike shorts, and everything went numb. It took a few months to go back to normal. Now, I'm a guy and we're obviously different...but you could have some nerve damage. I'm not a doctor, but I did talk to one and he agreed (by that time it was healed so there was no treatment). So give it some time. If you're worried, have it checked out. It can't hurt.
The reasons for this are the way the saddle is positioned. My best advice would be to get bike shorts. They should solve the problem even if you don't move the seat (but I'll show you in a second how to get it right anyway). The shorts start at around $60. Look at roadbikereview.com to find good ones. I tired Pearl Izumi and Sugoi. The sugoi was far better for me.
About the saddle positioning, you may want to slide it forward towards the handlebars. You want to make sure your sit bones are on the wide part of the saddle. Another note is that men's saddles are different from women's saddles. Women have wider hips, so the sit bones are further apart. Thus the saddle needs to be wider in the back. They may not be wide enough on your bikes.
Also, the saddles on the bikes i've seen only go forwards--backwards. If you can tilt the nose down a little (1 or 2 degrees) it could also help.
Lastly, raising the handlebars will give you a more upright position, and more weight will go to the back of the saddle. This takes pressure of the nerves.
What I would do is to wait until you are healed. Then get the bike shorts. And finally, adjust the saddle and handlebars.
Edit: The saddle height is also a good idea. Try lowering it a little. You want your leg to be almost fully extended on the downstroke.
Hope you get better soon.

Bob is 100% right. A few months ago I was asking about what seat I should buy for my brand new bike. he said stick it out a bit. Today it doesn't hurt at all and I ride for 50 miles on some days. The seat/saddle may be up too high, and/or you my be too close to the handle bars. That would cause the nose of the "seat" to rest right on your whoha. I would try some padded cycling shorts too.
i know this isn't a spin class bike fitting, but most of the same rules are going to apply.

If you are not use to riding a bike you butt is going to hurt. It takes a few weeks to get use to a saddle on a regular bike. You may want to point the nose of the saddle down a little to relieve pressure in that area. You legs help to support your weight so saddle height will make a huge difference.

It will harm when you consider that that is an excessively touchy subject, nevertheless it wont be as painful as you feel, tattoos simply suppose like a disturbing burning feeling, it does not quite harm i've six tattoos and i'm terrified of needles however after i obtained my first one and i spotted it does not harm in any respect i felt extra secure stepping into to get my different tattoos. But no person can quite let you know when you consider that each person tolerates agony in distinct approaches. GOOD LUCK!

It sounds like the seat isn't adjusted right. It may be too high which is causing you to sit/lean on the wrong "parts". If you lower the seat just a bit, you will find that it should be more comfortable to sit on your toosh rather then leaning forward too much.

are you wearing padded cycling shorts?
wait. you aren't complaining of chafing so that should be ok.
spin bike saddles are notoriously horrible. Too big, too soft. eek.
ask the instructor about fitting the bike to you, and remember the settings.
also ask about correct pelvic rotation.
