You can use this website to find a book in any range and genre. I hope it helps. http://www.lexile.com/fab/
Although Lexile scores generally base their rating on the difficulty of grammar and vocabulary. If you were looking for a good, thought provoking book you'd be better off not looking so much at the Lexile but looking more through contemporary literature such as Ender's Game, 1984, Catch-22 or The Fountainhead.

If lexile 1050 is for high school and above, try Dangerous Days: The Autobiography of a Photojournalist, and its sequel, Blades: The Autobiography of a Rescue-Helicopter Pilot, both by J. William Turner. Realistic fiction about teens in several dramatic life and death situations set in Australia, Canada, England and California during the years 1981-1982 and 1995-2001. Each is written as a series of four related stories (about 100 pages per story) inside a single cover dealing with teenage, adult and social themes. More info in Google

In regards to your question, I would like to say that Moby Dick is in fact an excellenbt read. I read this in tater tot mode. It had a sort of inappropriate feel to it. I reccomend it if you are single.
