Where to hide a camera?
I have an older sister who has been seeing a boy who no one approves of (as in no one in town likes him) As he's aggressive and insensitive. My parents do not like him. Tony (not his real name) threatened to beat me to a pulp if I told my parents. I tried to tell them but my goody 2 shoes sister "isn't that stupid" to quote dad. I need evidence! I have a camera with motion detect. Picture a typical sqare room taken over by a 15 yr old girl with a desk and other bits. Where should I hide the camera. I am only doing this as this boy is trouble. He got his ex arrested bcos she refused to have sex.

That... That is intense stuff... Smart thinking on your part, but i don't think a plain motion sensor is going to work... You're going to need a real camera sending a wireless signal toa lap top or something. You ca. Even get a cheap usb web cam...
I'd say hide it in a pile of clothes or stuff on the floor, behind items on a shelf, or if you're tech savy, disassemble the housing and work it in to an actual item in the room (for example make it look like a button on a shirt)
I would know as i used to be special ops ;). Good luck. You're doing the right thing!!!!!

ok if have shelf with things on it i.e. books, or even teddy's, place it in between those where good sight in all the room. or if have pc/laptop with webcam on, set that up where can be recorded and file kept on your system also.
you could also carry a recorder for tapes, it will record his voice just in-case he threatens you outside this room. when have the evidence go to your parents as well as your sister as she may not realise how much bad boy he is, (by playing the mr.ever so nice guy to her). then if need be press charges against him for these kinda threats and have restraining order where he can not come in 100 feet of your home, school and if see you in town he must walk away from you otherwise face prison!
hats off to you for thinking ahead like this, you maybe just saving sister life as if like this, image him getting her move in with her and the beatings begin on her, she too scared to leave and end up dead in an ally way - hope catch him out and wish you all best luck

I woul suggest a book shelf plant or somewhere that the cameras color blends in with the room because if that guy does see it before it takes the picture or sees it anyway for that matter hell break it into little peices

If you want to monitor any part of your home, a button-hole camera can be set up inside a stuffed animal, behind a wall clock, even in a plant or in a hollowed-out book.

Cuddly toy on a shelf....you can buy these from security stores...but filming them wont stop it...she'll just want him more and they could run away together.
