Does anyone know how long after treating dogs with Frontline Plus I can re-treat?

Rubbing it in would not affect the way it works, and you should NOT treat them again before the recommended time (one month). You NEED to treat the environment. Fleas lay up to 50 eggs each day, and the eggs fall off the dog and into the environment (their bedding, your carpet, etc.). So you have to treat your HOUSE too or you'll never get rid of them.

Frontline plus purportedly kills flea eggs too, but treating your environment will decrease the amount of infestation your pets have to deal with... Flea shampoo will wash off the Frontline, so don't do it. The beautiful thing about Frontline and Advantage is that they DO NOT CROSS THE SKIN BARRIER. This means that you CAN reapply, but it becomes quite expensive, so treating the environment will be better in the long run. Remember to apply the WHOLE tube to your pet, on the skin, between the shoulder blades.

FL Plus is a very safe product. In their tests they fed, yes fed, animals something like 72 vials of it before there were any adverse symptoms...and that was just some salivating. It's off label but many vets will say that it's safe to use every 2 weeks. If you don't want to spend the money to do that, but some FL Spray to use between treatments.

Flea shampoos are actually going to strip your animal's flea treatment off, so doing that is going to exacerbate your problem.

Make sure you're treating the environment, meaning the house and yard, as well and that all pets are on a flea preventative. It takes between 4 and 6 months of constant treatment to get a flea infestation under control

As far as I know frontline, doesn't kill fleas it stops the breeding ( laying eggs) fleas have a 3 day life born, lay eggs, bite, die, so unless you wash everything and vacuum all over then the eggs which were laid by fleas which were not frontlined ( or fleas/eggs outside) your dog will continue to get fleas.

I use x2 Brewers Yeast tablets and x1 garlic oil pearl daily and my dogs have always been protected from fleas, another herbal product is Neem oil, it protects from fleas, ticks, worms and mites, builds your dogs immune system and promotes healthy skin, coat, teeth and bones.....but whatever you do use you need to treat the house and garden as well ( neem oil on a piece of cotton wool in the vacuum bag will kill and fleas and eggs you pick up) Short grass outside and ppower washpaved areas and disinfect

Retreat now then every 30 days.
