Chassis ground location on a 1995 Jaguar?
I'm trying to find where the ground is for my tail lights on my 95 Jag XJS.
Ground cable from the harness goes into a loom at the top of the hood and I can't trace it without tearing out my interior. I thought it was grounded off the battery but all the schematics say my tail lights are off a chassis ground.
I'm thinking of cutting the ground wire and grounding it myself off the frame with an eye hole crimp connector.

do the taillight screws touch metal to metal ? that would be the ground , do not remove a ground , add another or clean the existing one .
