Will I get her in trouble?
I was at the ER last night for a work injury. I was treated by a young med student who, although really nervous, did a great job with me. I was thinking it would be nice to leave a letter for her thanking her and wishing her well in her studies and coming career. Nothing else. I know she's not allowed to date a patient, I'm not leaving any contact information. I just think it would be a nice thing to do for someone working so hard and just starting out in such a demanding profession. Will even leaving the letter at the registration desk cause any trouble for her?

4 AnswersPolls & Surveys7 years agoIs Adobe Creative Cloud worth it?
I already have Lightroom 4. All I really want is Photoshop CS6 for HDR and layering. Don't need or want any of the app or website designers. I'm thinking in the long run, it would cost me less to just buy the software. Anyone a member? What's good and bad about it?

If force=area x pressure, and atmospheric pressure is 14.7psi, wouldn't the weight of surrounding air be different for an infant compaired to a fully grown adult?

If you've never been moved to tears by a piece of music, you've never really lived.
I was listening to Beethoven this afternoon and really found myself into it. As I sat on my deck overlooking the freshly fallen snow with a glass of scotch in my hand I closed my eyes, laid my head back against the back of my chair and allowed myself to take it all in. I soon had a tear or two rolling down my cheek and realized, this is what it's like to truly be alive.
8 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoDo you ever go to the movie theatre JUST for the popcorn?
I'm really craving some movie popcorn right now. I'm even going to sit through that Paranormal Activity just to eat some. And I HATE scary movies. And I'm NOT paying that much for a movie just for the popcorn. I'm going to sit through that thing if it kills me.
8 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoDo you think the Gotham City PD are a little worried about job security with Batman always being around?
I mean if you were Mayor of Gotham City, would you really need a full police department?
I'd start laying off the newer ones and offering early retirement to the older ones.
Keep a few of your experienced cops on duty for parking tickets and stuff like that and let Batman take care of the rest.
Makes sense right?

6 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoCan an airbag still deploy if the ground terminal is removed from the battery?
I have to replace my combination switch. The service manual makes a great deal of effort to emphasize disabling the airbags after removing the ground terminal on the battery before servicing the steering column.
Understanding basic electronics, doesn't removing the ground terminal on the battery already disable the airbag?

3 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoWhat happens if a K9 Officer retires before the dog?
It's a well known practise that the K9 Officer and the Dog are literal partners. It's also been a common practise that upon the Dog's retirement from service, the Officer takes him or her home as his or her pet.
If the Officer would retire first, would the Dog be reassigned?
Would the partnership be terminated and the Dog treated just like another Officer and reassigned a partner or would they allow the retiring Officer to keep his or her Dog?
The Dog is worth allot of money and there is no good reason to retire the Dog other than not wanting to start fresh with a new Officer the Dog does not know.
Lets say the Officer is retiring for personal reasons like he or she has been injured or is sick or any other reason meaning he or she is no longer capable of performing their duties.

2 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoChassis ground location on a 1995 Jaguar?
I'm trying to find where the ground is for my tail lights on my 95 Jag XJS.
Ground cable from the harness goes into a loom at the top of the hood and I can't trace it without tearing out my interior. I thought it was grounded off the battery but all the schematics say my tail lights are off a chassis ground.
I'm thinking of cutting the ground wire and grounding it myself off the frame with an eye hole crimp connector.
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoWould you be whiling to pay a little more in taxes every year if it meant wounded veterans paid none?
Would you be whiling to pay a little more in taxes every year if it meant the men and women serving their country, wounded in Afghanistan or Iraq didn't’t have to pay any for the rest of their lives?
How about even if this yet to exist program extended out to Vietnam, Korea or WW2 veterans?
I'm serious, I'm doing several means of research, including Y!A before writing a report and sending it to Parliament.
9 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agosweet or stupid idea?
I've been single for a very long time. Very long time and have got rather used to that. Lately, I have met a young lady and tomorrow morning, I'm going to ask her on a date.
We cross paths every morning on our ways to work and smile, say good morning, the usual kind of thing to say and do when walking by someone early at the morning side walk.
I went out this evening and got a single rose. Tomorrow morning, when we cross paths again, I will actually stop and say something like 'we've walked past each other a couple times in the recent days and I catch myself being more and more intrigued with each morning, so I got you this *hands rose and card saying For Andy's Mystery Miss"*
So, I've been out of the game for a long while now and am an old fashioned guy. Is this a good idea or will the modern woman think this is a really stupid thing to do.
I always follow my gut. And the last time my gut told me to something like this, I ended up getting married a few short years later.
My gut says do this.
Sweet or stupid idea?

2 Bed, 1 1/2 Bath, Detached Garage... you know, you're standard middle class 9 to 5er dual income household.
I'm dead serious. It's kind of a dream of mine.
2 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoHave we become a society that needs a weatherman to know which way the wind blows?
This weekend in Canada, it's a long weekend. I've been working my tail off 13 days on one off since November and upon at long last, having three days off, I decided to treat myself to a nice bottle of scotch.
Here's where my point of the question comes in;
I also went out and got some new ice cube trays. They had directions printed on them. Do we really need to know how to make ice?????
What say you nobel P&S-ers?
